A champagne crafted with 100% Chardonnay, the Blanc de Blancs en Magnum is the latest release from the prestige cuvée collection. The Armand de Brignac Blanc de Blancs en Magnum assemblage is comprised of the 2005, 2006 and 2008 vintages, and less than 1,000 bottles were created.
Dedicated to the consistent quest for excellence, the winemakers chose to set aside a small quantity of this Blanc de Blancs assemblage in a larger format bottle, to study its development and aging. The Blanc de Blancs en Magnum spent seven years on lees in the cellars in Champagne, France, before being disgorged on May 25, 2016. The special assemblage was afforded 22 months resting time on cork for additional maturation and integration, before its release this month. The result is a cuvée of great complexity and depth, with notes of baked pastry, honey, orange blossom and almond, with a delicate bead and lasting finish.
